Just months after its grand inauguration, the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya is facing issues with water leakage in its sanctum sanctorum. The Temple’s Chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das revealed that the temple’s roof began leaking following the first rain. This has raised concerns about the construction quality of the opulent temple complex which was built for Rs 1,800 Crores.

Acharya Das further expressed doubts about the temple’s construction being completed by July 2025, although he acknowledged the claims. He called for an investigation into the leakage, noting that water was accumulating where the Ram Lalla idol was enshrined. He emphasized the importance of addressing these structural issues promptly to ensure that prayers can continue during heavy rains.

He pointed out that there is no proper water drainage system in the temple, causing water to collect at the idol’s location. He reiterated that while it would be positive if the temple is completed by 2025, it seems unlikely given the remaining work. He urged authorities to prioritize resolving the leakage issue to maintain the sanctity and functionality of the temple.
