As part of the 35th Road Safety Month, DSP Jaswinder Singh from Chandigarh Traffic Police, in collaboration with Omkar Charitable Foundation, conducted an awareness session on traffic rules for students at Don Bosco School in Sector 24.
Emphasizing the crucial role of school children in preventing road accidents, DSP Jaswinder Singh urged them to be responsible and promote awareness of road safety in society. He highlighted the importance of following traffic rules, such as using helmets on two-wheelers, avoiding triple riding, and adhering to prescribed speed limits.
Ravinder Singh Billa, Chairman of Omkar Charitable Foundation, advised the children not to drive or allow others to drive without a license. He stressed the use of helmets for bike riders, seat belts for car drivers, and the importance of not driving under the influence of alcohol.
Billa encouraged the children to spread awareness about safety among their parents and neighbors, emphasizing that collective efforts are essential to control the rising number of road accidents.
