The RJD posting a tweet about the new Parliament building triggered a new political slugfest. The tweet contains a picture of the new Parliament house along with a picture of a coffin to prove the similarity of design. The state BJP countered with a tweet saying it was the coffin of the RJD party, which will be seen in the next Lok Sabha poll. But the BJP got support from an unexpected quarter. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi issued a statement
criticising the RJD for posting a tweet with coffin. He has also supported the decision to establish a new parliament house, as it is the need of the hour. But according to him, it would have been better if the Speaker of the Lok Sabha had inaugurated the new complex. He is maintaining a different line from other Opposition parties that demanded a new parliament house be opened by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu.

MP Congress faces rebellion within party

Recently, MPCC Chief Kamalnath replaced one district president in Dindori with Ashok
Padwar. After this, followers of former district president Birendra Shukla resigned from
the party en masse. They expressed displeasure against the president and said that Birendra Shukla has stabilised the party in the district. His removal will cost the party immensely in the upcoming assembly poll. They also threatened that the former district president may contest the poll as an independent candidate. They also feel that the Madhya Pradesh Congress government fell not because of the rebellion of Jyotiraditya Scindia but because of the high-handedness of the party president. The state BJP is finding
some relief in the crucial district, as the internal strife of the Congress may give them an edge in the upcoming poll.

Varun Gandhi’s presence in inauguration

The presence of BJP MP Varun Gandhi during the inauguration of the new Parliament Building by PM Modi is perhaps another debatable issue. He was seen present in the Lok Sabha during the opening ceremony. During the speech of PM Modi, Varun was seen clapping with other BJP MPs. Recently, Varun met TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee in New Delhi. There was speculation that he may join the TMC in July, when the Rajya Sabha election is due. But today’s different gesture by Varun creates a new speculation about his future.
