The results of Mwanti-leprosy drug trials, which were conducted on Covid patients, are expected to come out in a few days. The observations and data have already been sent to the Drug Controller General of India. The drug trials were conducted across ten centres in India, started in May. If the drug trials show positive results, then it will be used in the treatment of Covid patients. AIIMS Bhopal has completed the first phase trial of the drug as well.
