Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna has remained defiant amid criticism over a resurfaced 2016 video showing her in a blue swimsuit. The video has attracted significant backlash, but Luna has used the opportunity to criticize liberals and defend her stance on women’s rights.

During an appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Friday, Luna addressed the controversy head-on. “You know what’s interesting is that they actually try to use it against me and hit me on it,” Luna said, referring to the criticism of the swimsuit video. “But, you know, I’m going to lean into it,” she added, emphasizing her commitment to her views despite the backlash.

Luna accused liberals of undermining women’s rights by allowing men to compete in women’s sports and diminishing the role of mothers. She praised a recent Supreme Court decision protecting women’s sports and criticized liberals for their stance on gender issues. “I can actually define a woman, you know, while they are trying to erase motherhood, while they are trying to call mothers ‘chest-feeders’,” Luna said.

She also took to social media to address the issue, confirming her biological identity and playfully mocking her critics. On X, Luna wrote, “I’m confirming that I have indeed worn swimsuits and you can tell I am biologically a woman.” In a subsequent tweet, she humorously remarked, “I have a confession to make since the TikTok Democrats are onto me: I wear bikinis to the beach and mineral sunscreen.”

Luna’s comments highlight her continued focus on women’s rights issues and her willingness to confront criticism directly. Despite the controversy, she asserts that her commitment to advocating for women remains strong.
