Rattan Lal Gupta, the Provincial President of the National Conference in Jammu, asserted that the general public in Jammu and Kashmir is grappling with a development deficit, contrary to the false narrative of substantial development being propagated by the government. Gupta stated that the National Conference is the only solution capable of rescuing people from the existing challenges, as the alleged castles of development constructed by the J&K Government are far removed from reality.
Speaking at a meeting with party functionaries of Jammu Urban, Rural A, Rural B, and Samba districts at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan in Jammu, Gupta emphasized that the National Conference is uniquely positioned to address the current issues faced by the people.
The meeting included the presence of Chander Mohan Sharma, District President Jammu Urban; Raghbir Singh Manhas, District President Jammu Rural A; Naresh Bittu, District President Jammu Rural B; Saudagar Gupta, District President Samba; Pinky Khalsa, District President Jammu Urban Women Wing; and S. Tejinder Singh, District President Jammu Urban YNC, along with other party functionaries.
A detailed program was outlined during the meeting for the celebration of the 118th Birthday of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah on December 5, 2023. All other districts are expected to commemorate the day at their respective headquarters.
Prominent figures present at the meeting included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary Jammu; Deepinder Kour, Ex-MLC; Abdul Gani Teli, Chairman OBC Cell; Vijay Lochan, Chairman SC Cell; and various other provincial secretaries and party functionaries. The meeting aimed to underline the pivotal role of the National Conference in steering Jammu and Kashmir towards genuine development and addressing the concerns of the public.
