Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as BeerBiceps, recently experienced a major cyber attack that resulted in his YouTube channels being hacked. Both of his main channels, famous for interviews and podcasts, were compromised by hackers who deleted all content and replaced it with deceptive livestreams featuring old footage from Elon Musk and Donald Trump events.
Hacker’s Tactics: Cryptocurrency Scam and Name Changes
The hackers changed the names of BeerBiceps’ channel to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and his personal channel to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.” Instead of Allahbadia’s original content, viewers were greeted with a livestream promoting a cryptocurrency scam. An AI-generated Elon Musk avatar urged viewers to invest in cryptocurrency, falsely promising to double returns. Viewers were directed to scan a QR code and deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum on a suspicious website, elonweb.net.
Both channels now show a message stating, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else.”
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Humorous Response
Although Allahbadia has yet to release an official statement, he shared his reaction to the cyber attack on Instagram. In one story, he humorously posted a picture of a meal, captioned: “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favorite food. Vegan burgers. Death of BeerBiceps met with Death of diet.” In another story, he posted a selfie with an eye mask, jokingly asking, “Is this the end of my YouTube career? Was nice knowing you all.”
