Actor Randeep Hooda has officially joined the cast of the eagerly awaited action film tentatively titled ‘SDGM,’ directed by Gopichandh Malineni and starring Sunny Deol. The announcement came on Hooda’s 48th birthday, adding an extra layer of celebration to the occasion.

Hooda expressed his excitement for the role in a festive Instagram post, saying, “Excited to be a part of this action feast – #SDGM. Cannot wait to get on set with @iamsunnydeol Paaji and the entire team. As promised, this will be a MASS FEAST.”

Director Gopichand Malineni also shared birthday wishes with Hooda on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Welcome aboard the most versatile actor @RandeepHooda sir. Wishing you a very happy birthday from team #SDGM.”

The film, aiming to be “the biggest action film of the country,” is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, with Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, and TG Vishwa Prasad overseeing production. Sunny Deol, teaming up with the talented Malineni, will lead the project, which promises high-octane entertainment.

Sunny Deol announced the film on social media, sharing a concept poster and stating, “Make way for the biggest action film of the country – #SDGM. Starring Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol. Directed by @megopichand. Produced by @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy. Mass feast loading. Shoot begins soon.”

The movie, still untitled, will feature cinematography by Rishi Punjabi and music by Thaman S. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed that Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra will have significant roles in the film.

The project officially launched in Hyderabad and is set to begin production on June 22. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol has other exciting projects lined up, including Rajkumar Santoshi’s historical drama ‘Lahore 1947’ and a sequel to his iconic film ‘Border,’ directed by Anurag Singh.
