Actor Rajpal Yadav is gearing up for the release of ‘Kaam Chalu Hai’. The makers announced the release date on Thursday. The film, written and directed by Palaash Muchhal (known for ‘Ardh’), features a poignant narrative with Rajpal Yadav, Gia Manek, and Kurangi Nagraj in pivotal roles.
The film, produced by Baseline Ventures and presented under the banners of Baseline Studios and Pal Music and Films, is a compelling drama that highlights the tragic consequences of road accidents resulting from the deadly potholes that are widespread throughout the nation.
‘Kaam Chalu Hai’ depicts the true story of Manoj Patil, a father who transforms his grief into a groundbreaking movement. His world, filled with joy, centers around his daughter Gudiya and wife Radha. His life’s mission is to see his daughter achieve her dream of becoming a cricketer. His aspirations soar when Gudiya is chosen for a cricket tournament.
However, tragedy strikes when Gudiya’s dreams and life are both destroyed in a catastrophic accident, a result of administrative negligence. The way Manoj copes with the loss of his daughter is both unique and inspiring. He transforms his grief into a purposeful mission, taking extraordinary measures to prevent another child from suffering Gudiya’s fate.
‘Kaam Chalu Hai’ has been chosen for promotion by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival 2024.
