Over the past few days, Rajasthan has been experiencing a spell of rainfall. Even on Sunday, there was intermittent rainfall in several areas of Jaipur, ranging from heavy to light showers. Jaipur has been witnessing sporadic rain for the past three days, interspersed with periods of bright
sunshine.
On the other hand, Udaipur and the districts of Bharatpur division have received good rainfall. Pratapgarh, Udaipur, and Bharatpur received up to 2 inches of rainfall. According to the weather department, the monsoon in Rajasthan is expected to retreat by September 26. In the past 24 hours, many parts of Alwar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Karauli, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, and Udaipur districts witnessed cloudy skies and rainfall. The heaviest rainfall was recorded in the Gogunda area of Udaipur, where up to 65 mm of rain fell. Kanor in Udaipur received 20 mm, Pratapgarh 34 mm, Hindoli in Bundi 25 mm, Kaman in Bharatpur 24 mm, and Bahadurpur in Alwar 20 mm of rainfall.
Rajasthan has so far received 14% more rainfall than average. The state usually receives an average of 428.3 mm of rainfall between June 1 and September 23, but this season, it has received 489.5 mm of rainfall.
