The party has indicated, by assigning the responsibility of the new state president for Chhattisgarh to MLA Kiran Singh Deo, that a new face could also be given the responsibility in Rajasthan.
The party has only one dilemma, whether the current state president, CP Joshi, should be replaced now or after the Lok Sabha elections. Although party strategists believe that when the assembly elections were won in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there was a wave in the Lok Sabha. However, if CP Joshi himself wants to contest the Lok Sabha election, then in that case, he can be removed from the post of president. The party does not want to take any risk regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Its effort is to quickly fulfil the caste equation of the state.
For this, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma might first expand his cabinet. In this expansion, equal opportunities may be given to all caste groups.
On 23 December, President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Jaisalmer and Governor Kalraj Mishra will arrive in Jaipur. On this day, the governor and Chief Minister Sharma will remain in their leadership. It is understood that if the high command from Delhi gives a green flag, then the work of administering the oath to the new ministers can be done on Sunday or anytime after that.
The indication is that young faces will get more opportunities. Full attention will be paid to caste balancing. Gurjar, Jat, Meena, Brahmin, Rajput, Scheduled Caste, Tribe, Vaishya—all will be given a chance. In the first phase, 15 to 17 ministers can be made. It will be interesting to see in the expansion of the cabinet who is given the Home and Finance Ministry. In the previous government, Chief Minister Gehlot kept both important ministries to himself.
However, this time, the Sharma government has three key challenges. The first is to improve the state’s deteriorating economy, the second is to make the law and order system strong.
