The Wayanad-based Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, a motorcycle enthusiast, has now shared his memories of preparing orange marmalade for his mother, Sonia Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi revealed that he made the orange marmalade from scratch using the recipe provided by sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
“Orange marmalade is my Mum’s favorite Jam and Priyanks has perfected the recipe over time. Now it’s my turn to fill these delightful jars of joy.” Rahul Gandhi captioned the video.
Rahul Gandhi posted a video of the mother and son joking around while making orange marmalade on the final day of 2023. While he stirred the oranges on the gas stove, Rahul Gandhi said, “If BJP people want to get the jam, they can get it too.” “They’ll hurl it towards us,” remarked Sonia Gandhi, causing Rahul to chuckle heartily.
“It’s my sister’s recipe, not mine, She found the recipe and improved it. I am just implementing it,” Rahul Gandhi said. The process started with the mother-son duo visiting the garden to pluck small oranges, washing them and juicing them. “If BJP people want to get the jam, they can get it too. What do you say, mummy?” Rahul Gandhi said.
“They will throw it at us,” Sonia Gandhi replied. “That’s good, then we can pick it up again,” Rahul Gandhi said laughing.
Sonia Gandhi said that after adjusting and falling in love with Indian cuisine, her go-to meal whenever she travels overseas is arhar (toor) daal and rice.
