After learning about recent media release of Rahul Gandhi where he said “My name is not Savarkar, my name is Gandhi. Gandhis don’t apologise to anyone,’ the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde commented that “he (Rahul Gandhi) deserves punishment.”
In a statement CM Eknath Shinde said that ‘Rahul Gandhi deserves punishment. He has been insulating Savarkar again and again, Savarkar is not idol only for Maharashtra but also for Nation.”
He further claimed that “Gandhi has not only insulated PM Modi but entire OBC Community.”
