R. K. Arora, a senior officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (1990 Batch), has assumed the role of the new Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA) (Army), Western Command, Chandigarh, today. Prior to his assignment at PCDA, Chandigarh, he served as the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Air Force) in Dehradun.
Arora brings extensive experience in financial policy, accounting, audit, budgeting, procurement, and personnel matters. He has held prestigious positions in the Government of India, including Additional Secretary in UPSC, Finance Manager (Air) in the Acquisition Wing of the Ministry of Defence, and Director in the Ministry of Finance.
His professional journey includes roles as Member (Finance) in the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkata (on deputation), Internal Financial Advice (IFA) at HQ Central Command of the Indian Army, and various field offices of the Defence Accounts Department.
