In recognition of the outstanding services of Punjab Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Indian government has announced the names of officers and employees who will be honored with medals on the eve of the 75th Republic Day. These individuals will be awarded medals for bravery (Gallantry Medal), distinguished service (President’s Medal for Distinguished Service), and outstanding service (Meritorious Service Medal).

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), Bikramjeet Singh Barad, DSP Dalbir Singh, Sub-Inspector Rahul Sharma, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Jagjeet Singh, ASI Baljinder Singh, ASI Malkit Singh, HC Surinderpal Singh, and Senior Constable Mandeep Singh (posthumous) will be honored with the Gallantry Medal for their courageous acts.

IPS officer Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Pramod Ban and PPS officer AIG Intelligence-1, Savrandeep Singh, will receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service for their exceptional contributions.

Sixteen officers and employees, including DSP Investigation Jalandhar Harvinder Singh Virk, Joint Director of Vigilance Bureau (Complaint Cell) Digvijay Kapil, DSP CID Mansa Kuldeep Singh, and DSP PRTC Jahan Khelan Gurjitpal Singh, among others, will be honored with the Meritorious Service Medal for their remarkable services.
