Four packets of heroin weighing 312 grams have been recovered by the Border Security Force near the fencing areas at the border in the Ferozepur district of Punjab on Friday.

Taking to Twitter BSF Punjab Frontier tweeted, “Vigilant troops of BSF recovered 4 pkts Heroin (gross wt – 312 Gms) ahead of Border Fence, from the farming field of the village – Nizamwala. BSF once again foiled the nefarious attempt of anti-national elements to smuggle contraband.”

Meanwhile, from the farming field of the Nizamwala village, the packets of heroin were recovered.

Earlier in October, near the Amritsar border, two bottles were seized filled with heroin weighing around 940 grams which was an attempt to smuggle drugs inside India.

Moreover, a contraband item suspected to be heroin weighing 435 grams was recovered in October from a Pakistani truck at the Attari Zero Line in Amritsar, Punjab.
