They say, ‘pen is mightier than a sword,’ whoever said this line was proven true in this viral Pune incident, where a poster asking women to ‘dress modestly to avoid attracting attention.’ As a result, this poster triggered a lot of responses and debates on the internet.
These responses started pouring in, when group called Mast Group put up a poster which read, ‘Women, wear clothes in such a way that no one dares to look at you with evil eyes.’
Later, another group called ‘Trasth Group’ pasted another poster below which said, ‘Men, keep your mind so clean that no matter what clothes someone wears, your eyes should not fall.’
Both of these posters written in Marathi were seen at city’s walking track.

Later, when these posters came into internet’s radar, people supported these groups and themselves gave a lot of savage responses.
One user said, ‘the reply poster should have been bigger……. Also dressing appropriately is as important for men as it is for women. This is by no means sexist but a simple individual / societal etiquette which has become more than necessary. Right time, right place, right dress.’
Another user said, ‘Love the response..btw, fully clothed women have never been assaulted or teased?? … Clothes don’t matter..’
