The armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir had a major success on Friday in uncovering a Pulwama-like a terror plot against the country. Rockets in the mountainous areas of Anantnag were placed aiming to target the Army in large numbers. These rockets were defused by the forces. Two days ago a huge amount of explosives were recovered from here and the intelligence agencies have warned about terrorists preparing for a large-scale attack.
The CRPF and the joint patrol team of police in Anantnag found the rockets in the mountainous areas during patrolling on Friday. It was immediately reported to the squad team. The rockets were defused with the active and effective response of the security forces. During this time the entire area was evacuated. Security was taken full care of and as a result, no damage has been reported. The rockets were placed near the main road which connects the district with others. Security agencies say that the bosses sitting across the border have been restless due to the death of major terrorists in the recent past.
Two days ago four people were arrested from Anantnag and a large number of explosives were recovered. Based on intelligence reports, Adil Maqbool Wani’s residence in Nanil, Anantnag, was raided and 24kg of illegal explosives were recovered, the police stated. Security agencies are considering it the work of Lashkar, Jaish and Hizbul. Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is constantly adopting new methods to attack security forces in the Valley and the terrorists are being provided with all the necessary items and information from across the border.
All the security agencies have been alerted about the objective of the ISI to cause maximum harm to the security forces. They have been asked to be wary.
