AICC General Secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is all set to join Bharat Jodo Yatra when Rahul starts on 3 January. It is being speculated in Congress Circle that Chairperson of Congress Parliamentary party Sonia Gandhi may not contest next Lok Sabha poll from the Gandhi baston Raebareli. If she does not contest Priyanka may fill the slot and will start her political journey in Parliamentary politics. But it is not clear whether Sonia Gandhi will continue as Chairman of the parliamentary party. Congress party managers of Bharat Jodo Yatra has already amended the journey route before entering Haryana. Now Bharat Jodo Yatra may pass through western Uttar Pradesh for a longer period. Priyanka will be all along with his brother Rahul during Yatra and perhaps may announce her intention for contesting next Lok Sabha poll in 2024.

The recent speech given by Varun Gandhi in Sultanpur has created new speculation about his joining with brother Rahul in Bharat Jodo Yatra. Varun was speaking in tune with the speech given by Rahul during the course of Yatra. He was saying the need of the hour is to connect Indians with each other and should rise against communal divide. In Delhi Rahul said about the dividing communities in religious line. People heard Varun was echoing the same speech of Rahul. It may be expected that Priyanka may invite Varun to join the Yatra as she is from the Gandhi family and keeps in touch with Varun.
