President murmu to inaugurate Gita Mahotsav in Haryana today

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit (November 29 and 30) to Haryana. As per the schedule, the President will attend various programmes in the State including International Gita Festival (IGM)-2022. On Tuesday at 10:30 am, the President will reach Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra to perform Gita Pujan and offer prayers in Gita Yagya. After this, Droupadi Murmu will also inaugurate the State Exhibition, Haryana Pavilion, and Shilp Udhyan. Along with this, the President will also visit the pavilion of Madhya Pradesh, the partner state of this year’s IGM-2022. After this, Droupadi Murmu will participate in the International Gita Seminar scheduled to be held at Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Sadan, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra at 11:30 am and will virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of three big projects of the Haryana including e-ticketing system in Haryana transport, Nirogi Haryana Scheme and lying of the foundation stone of Sirsa medical college.
The President will formally start the e-ticketing system of State transport from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Sadan. In the initial phase, the e-ticketing project will be implemented at 6 depots namely Chandigarh, Karnal, Faridabad, Sonipat, Bhiwani and Sirsa. Similarly, by the end of January 2023, the project will be completely implemented in the remaining 18 depots of Haryana Roadways. The President will also launch another one of its kind Nirogi Haryana Scheme. Under this, health checkups of the people of the state will be conducted. The members of Antyodaya families have been included in the first phase of the scheme.The President will also lay the foundation stone of Sirsa medical college and hospital to be built on 21 acres of land in Sirsa district to be built at a cost of about Rs 950 crore. With this, the people of Sirsa district and other nearby areas will get state-of-the-art health-related facilities. After inaugurating these projects, the president will attend the 18th convocation of the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra as the Chief Guest at 2:30 p.m. Thereafter, the President will reach Chandigarh airport at 4:20 pm, where she will be given a Guard of Honour. After this, at around 5 pm, Preident Murmu will reach Haryana Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh as a State Guest. On the occasion of her arrival at Haryana Raj Bhavan, a cultural programme will also be organised at 6:30 pm. On November 30, on the second day of her visit, President Murmu will interact directly with Asha workers and other stakeholders of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. Besides this, the President will also interact with sportspersons and some schoolgirls of Haryana.
