During an interaction with students in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for prioritizing its image over the future of students on Monday. He claimed the AAP government allows only high-scoring students to progress beyond class 9, fearing that poor results would damage its reputation.
“I have heard that in Delhi, the AAP government does not let students continue beyond class 9 unless they are certain to pass. If their results are poor, it harms the government’s image. This is dishonest,” said PM Modi.
BJP Promises ‘New Spring’ of Development for Delhi
In a rally at RK Puram, New Delhi, PM Modi promised a “new spring of development” in Delhi under a BJP-led government. He said the current AAP government had wasted 11 years and stressed that the BJP would improve the lives of poor and middle-class families.
“A new spring of development is coming to Delhi. This time, the BJP government will prosper every poor and middle-class family,” he assured.

Welfare Measures for Auto Drivers and Domestic Workers
PM Modi outlined plans for a welfare board to support auto drivers and domestic workers. The board would provide insurance coverage up to Rs 10 lakh and assist with children’s school fees. He also promised that no slums in Delhi would be demolished, and all welfare schemes would continue.
“These AAP-Da people are spreading falsehoods, but no slum will be demolished under the BJP government,” he declared.
Delhi Assembly Election on February 5
The Delhi Assembly elections are set for February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8. Voters will choose between the BJP, Congress, and AAP in a heated triangular contest.
