Congress unveiled a roster of 38 candidates on Monday for the forthcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, set to take place next month. Alongside fresh entries, the list includes replacements for several seats where the party has altered its candidates.
The party revealed that Lakkaraju Rama Rao will be the candidate for the Vishakapatnam North assembly seat. Tumman Kalyan Aszal Ali Khan has been nominated to contest from the Kadapa Assembly constituency. Rajachakkonda John Babu will represent the party in the Guntur West constituency. Additionally, Sunkara Padmasree will be contesting elections from Vijayawada East.
Earlier this month, the Congress party unveiled 114 candidates for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. With 175 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, the state is gearing up for simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections on May 13. As the election date approaches, campaigning has gained momentum across the state.
