The horrific attack on Shiv Sena (Punjab) leader Sandeep Thapar by Nihang Sikhs in Ludhiana has sparked political outrage. The incident, seen on CCTV, took place outside the Civil Hospital, where Thapar received serious injuries after being repeatedly beaten with swords.

Thapar is known for his stance against Khalistan, while he was returning from death anniversary of president of Samvedna Trust when he was attacked by men dressed as Nihang Sikhs. He was attacked   This brutal attack in broad daylight has sparked a political outrage all over Ludhiana.

In reaction to the increasing tensions, political figures from across the spectrum denounced the attack, accusing the Punjab government of failing to maintain peace and order. Opposition leaders, including Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur, and BJP Punjab chairman Sunil Jakhar, have demanded urgent action and accountability from chairman Minister Bhagwant Mann.
