A team from Police Station-34, Chandigarh, has arrested three snatchers, including a shopkeeper, in a case related to mobile theft. The arrested suspects have been identified as Satnam Singh from Patiala, Ghanauli, Ropar, Punjab; Manpreet Singh from Ghanauli, Ropar, Punjab; and Charanjeev Aroda from Baloungi village, Mohali district.
The suspects have been presented in court and put under judicial custody. Charanjeev Aroda, the shopkeeper, used to give the stolen phones to the accused for resale. 93 phones were seized from the possession of the suspects. Inspector Baldev Kumar, SHO of Police Station 34, informed that based on confidential information, three suspects were apprehended. The recovered stolen property has been confiscated. Several incidents of theft had previously occurred in the Police Station-34 area.
Initially, the police had arrested the prime suspect, Satnam Singh, who disclosed that he, along with his accomplices, had committed multiple thefts in Chandigarh. Subsequently, the other two accomplices of Satnam Singh were also arrested. The arrests of the suspects have resolved a total of four cases of theft related to mobiles in Police Station-34, Chandigarh. Acting on confidential information, Satnam Singh, resident of Patiala village, Thana Sadar, Ropar, Post Office Ghanauli, District Ropar, Punjab, was apprehended. Additionally, two more accomplices were arrested based on information provided by Satnam Singh.
