The Additional District and Sessions Judge Praveen Kumar Lal, during the trial of a POCSO Act case, has handed down a life imprisonment sentence and imposed a Rs 1 lakh fine on Avdesh, the accused and son of Ram Agya, residing in Turgha, district Kushi Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, in the village of Hall Abhaypur Phase-1, Panchkula, aged 45.

As per reports, the police spokesperson stated that the sentencing came in response to a complaint received about the rape of a 5-year-old girl on March 14, 2017. The case was registered under Section 06 of the POCSO Act 2012 at Police Station Sector 20. The police, during their investigation, arrested Avdesh Avgya Singh and presented him before the court, subsequently sending him to judicial custody.

Inspector Jaswinder Kaur spearheaded the investigation, and District Attorney Court, Panchkula, Naresh Garg, efficiently handled and defended the case. The court, led by Honorable Additional District and Sessions Judge Praveen Kumar Lal, pronounced the life imprisonment sentence and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the accused today.
