GANDHINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a solar project in Kutch and a desalination plant when he is in Gujarat again on a two-day visit. He will stay in the border district of Kutch on 14 and 15 December. The Prime Minister has been visiting Gujarat for the last three months. He will lay the foundation stone of various projects.
On 30November, the PM was scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the world’s largest energy park at Kutch and inaugurate a new desalination plant at Mandvi, but the event was postponed for some reason.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has said that the PM will come to Gujarat on 15December to inaugurate the world’s largest renewable energy park of 60,000 MW in Kutch.
Giving these details in a conversation with the media at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Rupani said that this huge energy park for solar and wind energy is about to take shape in the border area of Kutch. CM Rupani added that this desalination plant will be useful for the people, farmers, drinking water and industries.
He added that one such desalination plant is currently in Dahej for the water needs of industries. Rupani said: “We are starting new development projects in Gujarat inaugurated by the Prime Minister. After the successful completion of several new projects at Sea-Plane, Row-Pex Ferry Services, Kevadia as well as Girnar Ropeway and Kisan Suryodaya Yojana, it has been decided to lay the foundation for two more new projects by the Prime Minister.”
