Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the country’s largest ropeway in Junagadh, as well as the Rs 470 crore UN Mehta Hospital on 24 October.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will launch the Kisan Suryodaya Yojana to provide electricity to the farmers daily.
The country’s largest ropeway in Gujarat has been constructed at Junagadh. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that devotees had to climb 10,000 steps to pay obeisance to Lord Dattatreya on Girnar mountain but now old people, women and children can go to Girnar mountain by rope-way.
“This ropeway will be a new treat for the tourist when millions of tourists come to the Gir forest to see the jewel of Gujarat, the Asiatic lion. It is a great privilege to sit on the ropeway and watch the Gir forest. This ropeway will boost tourism”, the Deputy CM says.
He further said that the UN Mehta Heart Institute has been equipped with state-of-the-art equipment at a cost of Rs 470 crore in the premises of Asia’s largest civil hospital where the best treatment for heart disease will be available.
The newly constructed hospital has 850 beds. Separate arrangements have been made in the hospital for a young child to have heart disease at birth.
PM will also launch Kisan Suryodaya Yojana, a scheme to provide electricity to farmers during the day. In the initial phase, about two-three thousand villages of Patan, Gir Somnath, Dahod district will get the benefit of this scheme.
