The Ganga Vilas luxury cruise arrived at Ramnagar Port in Varanasi today after departing from Kolkata on 22 December. According to sources, cruise that was supposed to arrive in Varanasi on Saturday did not do so until Sunday due to poor weather.
The boat will depart from the Ramnagarharbour and arrive at Sant Ravidas Ghat to a magnificent welcome.
At the Babatpur airport, a Dhobia traditional dance was performed to welcome a group of 33 Swiss visitors who landed in Varanasi today. On 13 January , these Swiss vacationers will take a trip to the Assamese province of Dibrugarh. PM Modi will essentially signal the start of the MV Ganga Vilas cruise yatra on 13 january.
The tourists were transported to the port at Ramnagar after landing at the airport. Visitors will visit Ramnagar fort in the evening after boarding the boat at Ramnagar. They will see Ganga Aarti after seeing Ramnagar Fort, then spend the night abroad Ganga Vilas cruise.
The tourists will Chunar Fort and Ghantaghar on 11 January . At Ravidas Ghat, cultural events have been planned for visitors. 32 travellers and a german tour guide make up the tourist group.
The trip will travel on an exciting 51 day tour that will include 15 days in Bangladesh. It will next travel via Assam’s Brahmaputra River to reach Dibrugarh. The luxurious cruise will travel through 5 states in India and Bangladesh over a distance of more than 3,200 miles. The MV Ganga Vilas journey was carefully planned to include stops at significant historical, cultural and religious sites in order to highlight India’s rich part. A total of 27 river system across UP, Bihar ,West Bengal, Bangladesh, and Assam will be traversed during this trip. The Ganga, Meghna, and Brahmputra are the three principal rivers that the cruise will cross. The trip will enter the Bengali river systems of the Bhagirathi ,Hooghly, Bidyavati , Malata, and Sundarbans. It will flow through Bangladesh’s Meghna, Padma, and jamuna before entering the Brahamputra in Assam. The 51 day journey is scheduled to visit 50 tourist destinations, including world heritage sites, National Parks, river Ghats and important cities like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal, Dhaka in Bangladesh, and Guwahati in Assam, according to an official statement
