Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visits to Russia and Austria, starting July 8, are deemed crucial by Moscow and Vienna for bolstering bilateral relations with India.
On July 8 and 9, Modi will visit Moscow at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. He will then travel to Austria on July 9 and 10, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 41 years.
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer described Modi’s forthcoming maiden visit as a significant milestone, highlighting its importance in addressing shared geopolitical challenges and commemorating 75 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
“I eagerly anticipate welcoming Prime Minister @narendramodi of India, the world’s largest democracy, to Vienna next week. This visit is a special honor, marking the first by an Indian Prime Minister in over four decades and celebrating our 75 years of diplomatic relations,” Nehammer tweeted.
