Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the last rites of his mother Heeraben Modi on Friday in Gandhinagar.
PM Modi gave the fire to the mortal remains of his mother Heeraben Modi along with his brothers.
Meanwhile, during the last rites Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, former CM Vijay Rupani, and Cabinet Ministers of Gujarat were present.
Earlier in the day PM Modi reached Gujarat and paid his tribute to her mother at her Raysan residence.
Earlier in the morning, PM Modi’s mother passed away. Taking to Twitter PM Modi informed about her demise and said, “A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi who was admitted to a hospital on Wednesday health was recovering on Thursday.
“PM Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi’s health condition is recovering,” the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre said in a statement.
Earlier on Wednesday Heeraben who was 100 years old had a health problem in the morning and was admitted to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad.
After which, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad to meet his mother.
