Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ignited optimism ahead of Paris Olympic 2024, expressing confidence in the contingent set to represent the nation. With approximately 120 athletes gearing up to exceed the Tokyo Games medal tally, which included Neeraj Chopra’s historic javelin gold, Modi anticipates a triumphant showcase on the global stage.

In a recent interaction on social media platform ‘X’, Modi commended the athletes for their dedication and shared his belief in their ability to bring pride to India. He highlight, “I engaged with our team heading to Paris for the Olympics. I believe our athletes will perform at their peak, bringing honor to India. Their journeys and achievements inspire hope among 1.4 billion Indians.”

Accompanied by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse, and Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha, Modi engaged with a diverse group of athletes and sports officials, including renowned figures like badminton coach Pullela Gopichand and shooting sport high-performance director Pierre Beauchamp.

During a virtual exchange, Modi conversed with defending champion Neeraj Chopra, boxer Nikhat Zareen, and two-time Olympic medalist shuttler PV Sindhu, lauding their achievements and perseverance in the face of challenges.
