Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised women’s power (‘Nari Shakti’) in the 99th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He went on to praise the Indian women and he made a special mention of the Indian team that won the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup.
“My dear countrymen, this is the time of Navratri; the time to worship Shakti. Today, the potential of India which is emerging from a new perspective, our woman power has a very big role in it. Earlier this year, India’s Under-19 women’s cricket team created history by winning the T-20 World Cup,” PM Modi said during the 99th episode of Mann Ki Baat.
The Indian Women’s team created history of the inaugural ICC under-19 World Cup on January 29th.
