Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently lauded cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring the importance of exploring different facets of India and promoting indigenous manufacturing.
Tendulkar, along with his family, embarked on a snowy sojourn to Gulmarg and other parts of Kashmir, documenting his experiences on social media. Impressed by the region’s scenic beauty and warm hospitality, Tendulkar shared glimpses of his trip, which caught the attention of PM Modi.
Expressing his delight over Tendulkar’s visit, PM Modi took to X to commend the cricket legend’s journey, highlighting two key takeaways for the youth: the exploration of diverse destinations within India and the significance of “make-in-India” initiatives in fostering a self-reliant nation.

Commencing his trip in Gulmarg, Tendulkar visited a cricket bat manufacturer in South Kashmir, later retreating to the serene environs of Pahalgam’s Pine and Peak Hotel.
