On November 8, 2022, at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, here in Balewadi, the Yoddhas, representing the state of Uttar Pradesh, will take the field against the Bengal Warriors in match number 66 of Season Nine of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).

According to a statement from the Pro Kabaddi League, the Bengal Warriors are currently ranked eighth with 29 points, while the UP Yoddhas are currently ranked eleventh with 27 points. Bengal Warriors and UP Yoddhas have met ten times in Pro Kabaddi League history. Three times, Up Yoddhas defeated Bengal Warriors by a narrow margin, and three of their encounters were ties.

The last time these two teams faced off, the UP Yoddhas defeated the Bengal Warriors 36-40 in season 8.

Surender Gill, a fellow raider and teammate, along with captain Pardeep Narwal, led the attack for the UP Yoddhas, which was crucial to their dramatic victory.

The UP Yoddhas’ head coach expressed confidence in his side’s chances against the Bengal Warriors and praised the recently named captain, under whose leadership the team has excelled.

“I am hopeful of a better result in our game against the Bengal Warriors. The team has been training hard, and given our last encounter, the team has performed well under Pardeep’s captaincy. I am looking forward to our game tomorrow,” said Jasveer Singh, Head Coach, UP Yoddhas.

Surender Gill has once again dazzled everyone for the UP Yoddhas, repeating his brilliance from season 8, while newly selected Captain Pardeep Narwal has gradually begun to reveal glimmers of his superstar potential. A lot will be expected of this raiding combo in the match against the Bengal Warriors, while the formidable defence of Nitesh Kumar, Ashu Singh, and Shubham Kumar will be required to build a firm wall for their opponents.
