The SLAM English Poetry competition was conducted at IIT Jodhpur as part of their annual fest IGNUS 2024. A notable event, it featured a participation of 8 individuals who were required to showcase their original poetry compositions. The criteria for judgment included aspects such as Originality, Enunciation, Poetic devices, Body language, among others.

Nishita Aggarwal, representing Punjab Engineering College, secured the second position in the competition with her performance of an original piece titled ‘Eyes’. As a recognition of her achievement, she was awarded a prize money totaling Rs. 8000. This victory not only celebrates Nishita’s talent but also adds to the prestige of her institution.

Dr. D.R. Prajapati, the Dean of Student Affairs at PEC, expressed heartfelt congratulations to Nishita Aggarwal for her outstanding performance. In his statement, he highlighted the significance of such achievements in boosting the overall excellence and spirits of students.
