A bomb threat email was received by Patna Airport authorities on Tuesday, causing a temporary scare at the premises. The threat led to heightened security at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, according to the Patna Airport Director.

The threatening email was received at 1:10 pm on Tuesday, prompting immediate security measures. This incident marks the second bomb threat issued to an airport on the same day.

Earlier, Vadodara Airport in Gujarat also received a bomb threat via email. Authorities quickly contacted the police and increased security throughout the airport. A probe is underway, with Vadodara Cyber Crime tracing the email’s origin.

Additionally, a hoax bomb threat delayed a Dubai-bound flight from Chennai, carrying 268 passengers, at Chennai International Airport on June 18. Security agencies conducted a thorough check of the flight, which was scheduled for departure at 10:30 am on Tuesday after receiving the email threat.

In another incident, a bomb threat targeted a Dubai-bound flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Monday. “On June 17 at 9:35 am, an email was received in the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office, IGI Airport with the threat of a bomb inside a Delhi to Dubai flight,” police reported.

Last week, several Delhi museums received bomb threats that were later determined to be bogus. Officials reported that around 10-15 museums, including the Railway Museum in Delhi, were targeted via email.
