In a heated session of Parliament in Pakistan, MP and former army major Tahir Iqbal wept uncontrollably, wailing, “Ya Khuda, aaj bacha le. Allah hamari hifazat kare.” His impassioned appeal followed news of Indian precision strikes as part of Operation Sindoor left Pakistan reeling in shock, sending panic rippling through government ranks.

India Foils Attack, Hits Back with S-400-Backed Strikes

The outburst of emotions by Iqbal came hours after Pakistan’s repeated failed attempts to attack Indian military bases spread across Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. Official Indian government reports claim that Pakistan fired coordinated missile and drone attacks on more than 15 targets, including Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Bhuj. But India’s air defense systems, including the S-400 ‘Sudarshan Chakra,’ successfully defused the threats.

India hit back with surgical air strikes in Pakistan and PoK against nine major terror facilities. These were the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed at Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba at Muridke. The Indian Air Force also hit deep within Pakistani lands—Sialkot, Kotli, Chak Amru, Gulpur, and Lahore, crippling terror units and killing more than 100 terrorists according to reports.

Emergency Meeting in Islamabad Amid Escalating Tensions

After the strikes, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif summoned an emergency meeting, underlining the seriousness of the situation. Islamabad has become tense, with political and military figures rushing to react to India’s response.

Indian officials confirmed this is the first practical deployment of the S-400 missile system against live targets, exhibiting a policy shift in India’s counterterrorist doctrine.

Terror Infrastructure Targeted, India Asserts Zero Tolerance

With Operation Sindoor, India has not just struck back against attempted attacks but also issued a strong message, terror would no longer be unanswered. Indian forces targeted and broke the organizational infrastructure of outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, which have long operated under suspected state sponsorship in Pakistan.
