She was killed at her home in Islamabad. Reports say that the shooter was a guest at her house, opened fire at close range, and fled the scene. Police have not yet arrested anyone but are actively investigating, including the possibility of it being an honour-related killing.

Sana was originally from Upper Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and was living in Islamabad’s G-13 sector. Born on June 2, 2008, she had recently celebrated her birthday. Her father is a popular social activist and is understood to be an inspiration for Sana, as she has been vocal and an advocate for change through her social media content.
