US Election 2024: Supporters of Kamala Harris Start ‘Operation Coconut Tree’ To Back her Candidacy

 

With Joe Biden withdrawing from us presidential race and Kamala Harris upping her campaign, internet continues to be filled with memes and viral videos. One of her quotes ‘You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?’ has spread like a wildfire in social media.

As a result, various politicians and her supporters are utilizing coconut emojis to back her candidacy.

Earlier just one year ago on May 10, 2023, Harris was discussing about increased opportunity for Hispanic community and investing community’s youngsters and elders. Talking about fairness in education policy Harris emphasized, that not every kid is provided with equal opportunities, in order to achieve success.

Beginning with her address she said t ‘none of us just live in a silo. Everything is in context.’

Later talking about her mother, she said ‘My mother used to — she would give us a hard time sometimes, and she would say to us, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people. You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?’

Then in a serious voice, she declared, you all live in context in which all you live and what came prior you.

Now, netizens which include her supporters called KHive, are utilizing coconut and tree emojis responding to Biden’s leaving of 2024 presidential race.

Afterward, backers of Kamala Harris have initiated an operation called ‘Operation Coconut Tree.’ The supporters call themselves ‘coconut-pilled.’

Many popular political figures like Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz and Colorado Governor Jared Polis have backed Kamala Harris by utilizing this coconut emoji. Schatz has even shared a photo of he climbing a coconut tree. In the caption it said ‘Madam Vice President, we are ready to help.’

In addition, New York City’s Democrat member has shared a video of Harris with a caption, which says ‘Coconut Tree Summer.’

Adopting this quote, Kamala’s HQ, which is her official campaign account has also written in its bio ‘Providing context.’

However, before this trend Republicans tried to utilize the coconut tree meme to make fun of Harris.

One user taking to TikTok said ‘when you and your friends are in bed after going out and you’re still drunk.’

Another said ‘me and my friend having two separate conversations on two different apps at the same time.’
