Pakistan fake news about India strikes were the centre of attention after Deputy PM Ishaq Dar showed a falsified UK newspaper headline in parliament, inappropriately praising Pakistan’s air force. This followed days after India conducted Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terror locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), over a terror attack that left people dead in Pahalgam.
With Indian precision strikes laying bare Pakistan’s weaknesses, Islamabad’s leadership turned to disinformation, inviting ridicule and fact-checks.
Hoax ‘Daily Telegraph’ Headline Causes Outrage
Referring to Pakistan’s Senate, Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar boldly pointed to a hoax front page of The Daily Telegraph. He asserted the British newspaper had labelled the Pakistan Air Force the “undisputed king of the skies.” But the screenshot he posted instantly went viral — and was instantly proved to be a hoax.

Social media and fact-checkers identified several errors in the photo. It contained blatant spelling errors, illiterate sentence arrangements, and irregular typing. Experts verified that The Daily Telegraph did not ever publish such a headline.
Citizens were not deceived even though there was an effort to distort public opinion. Online users mocked Dar’s speech and questioned the authority of the government.
Pakistan Defence Minister Fumbles
Around the same time, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also propagated false information on global television. While giving an interview to CNN, he alleged Pakistan had destroyed Indian fighter planes after India’s successful attacks under Operation Sindoor.
But when the anchor demanded evidence, Asif stuttered. He replied, “It’s all over social media. not just ours, Indian social media too.” He was unable to show any real proof, humiliating himself and his nation on a global platform.
India’s Operation Sindoor: Precision and Power
India initiated Operation Sindoor after Pakistani-backed terrorists murdered 26 harmless tourists in Pahalgam. In response, Indian air force attacked nine terror locations in Pakistan and PoK with pinpoint accuracy.
These attacks targeted major terror installations and Pakistani airfields. Indian attacks also avoided Chinese-provided Pakistani defence equipment, underlining the might of Indian air power and strategy.
Pakistan’s Empty Threats and India’s Firm Response
A shaken Pakistan retaliated in the form of drone and missile attacks, all of which Indian forces intercepted. Pakistan could not manage to cause any actual damage despite efforts at escalation.
India, however, showed a definite change in military posture — from reactive defence to proactive deterrence.
Propaganda vs. Proof
Pakistan’s leadership has again attempted to turn fiction into reality. But fabricated newspaper covers and unsubstantiated social media reports cannot conceal ground realities. India’s Operation Sindoor has not just revealed terror camps but also Pakistan’s desperation to manipulate the narrative.

While Pakistan tries to fool its citizens, the world is observing — and fact-checking.
