The Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings was delayed after a section of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was damaged just before the game. Although not confirmed, reports indicate a drone crash is the cause behind the occurrence, against the backdrop of increasing tensions between India and Pakistan.
No official reaction has come from the Pakistani government so far, but the news has brought an explosive debate on national television channels. One such panel debate’s clip, which has since gone viral, has Pakistani anchors taking speculations on India’s alleged involvement.
Shared by an X user, the clip depicts panelists discussing increased tensions between the two nations. The debate also touches on the relocation of PSL matches to Dubai. One female anchor passionately claimed, “Did IPL go to Dubai? Is your PSL getting affected? Who stopped your cricket? India. Who gave you a financial burden? India did. For how long do we have to take such bullying? India is a bully. For how long will you stop the sentiments of Pakistanis? Our PSL has been struck by their drone.”

In a humorous twist during the debate, she asserted, “Jab tak IPL Bharat se bahar nahi jata, mujhe sukoon nahi milega.” To which another anchor responded, “Aapke sukoon ke liye jung thodi ladenge,” making the studio erupt into laughter. The panellist went on, “This is about Pakistan’s peace and harmony,” making viewers laugh even more.
The video went viral and elicited a deluge of responses on the internet. “These guys have a lot of sense of humour,” one user said, while another added, “India is a bully…. We are on the right track.” Another viewer just wrote, “What an unserious country!”
In the aftermath of security issues and increasing border clashes with drone and artillery attacks, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that the shifting of PSL matches was on account of “unforeseen circumstances.”
At the same time, the IPL also has its share of issues last night’s game between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala was abandoned, apparently due to weather conditions.
