Balochistan Crisis: BLA Attacks Force Pakistan Army To Withdraw, Civil Unrest Intensifies

In a major escalation, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) launched a powerful offensive against Pakistani military positions in Quetta, reportedly forcing the Pakistan Army to vacate key installations. The region remains under heavy security lockdown, with tension mounting rapidly. Amid growing India-Pakistan tensions, widespread protests and unrest across Balochistan are now being described as the early signs of civil war within Pakistan.

Twin Blasts Kill 14 Pakistani Soldiers

Earlier the same day, the BLA claimed responsibility for two separate attacks that killed 14 Pakistani soldiers. The first blast took place in the Shorkand area of Mach, Bolan district, where fighters from BLA’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) detonated a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED), destroying a Pakistani military convoy. All 12 soldiers on board, including Special Operations Commander Tariq Imran and Subedar Umar Farooq, died in the explosion.

Hours later, another IED targeted a Bomb Disposal Squad in the Kulag Tigran area of Kech district. Two soldiers lost their lives while attempting a route-clearing operation. These incidents mark a significant increase in BLA’s tactical effectiveness and its determination to challenge Islamabad’s control in the region.

BLA Spokesperson Delivers Sharp Message to Military

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch confirmed the group’s responsibility for the attacks in a direct and scathing statement. “The hired killers who call the Baloch Liberation Army a foreign proxy should know that the Pakistani army itself is a mercenary armed gang that thrives on Chinese capital and Papa Jones,” he said.

“The meaning of the army’s uniform shifts—sometimes guarding ports, guarding corridors, serving the satisfaction of lenders. An army that determines its direction according to the will of changing masters in every era is not a national army, but a commercial one,” he added.

The spokesperson further vowed that the BLA’s operations would intensify, declaring that the fight for Balochistan’s liberation would continue with “greater intensity.”

Crisis Deepens as Balochistan Rises

The recent attacks are part of a broader wave of violence and unrest that has gripped Balochistan for years. However, the latest developments indicate a turning point, with insurgents forcing Pakistani military withdrawal in some areas and igniting mass protests against the central government. As India continues its Operation Sindoor against cross-border terror infrastructure, the internal instability in Pakistan presents a growing strategic challenge for Islamabad.

With public outrage rising and the BLA stepping up its campaign, observers warn that Balochistan could become the epicenter of a deeper national crisis if tensions are not addressed swiftly.
