England lifted their second T20 World Cup 2022 title after defeating the Pakistan team by five wickets on Sunday.

After losing the match in the post-match presentation ceremony, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam talked about the match and said, congratulated England.

“Congratulations to England, they deserve to be champions and fought well,” Babar said.

Meanwhile, Babar thanked the fans for supporting them even after facing the two losses against India and Zimbabwe at the start of the tournament.

“We feel like home. They come and support us. Definitely, after the first two losses, they hurt us but the way the team came back after those defeats was incredible,” Babar said.

Moreover, the presenter also makes a 1992 ODI World Cup reference where Imran Khan said, “play like caged tigers.” Replying to the presenter’s question, Babar said, “I just tried to pass the message that you play your natural game. We were 20 runs short, but the way we fought till the last over was unbelievable. Credit to the boys.”

Talking about Shaheen Afridi’s injury while playing the match, Babar said, “Our bowling is one of the best attacks in the world. Unfortunately, Shaheen’s injury put us off, but that’s part of the game.”

However, Shaheen got injured while taking Harry Brooks’s catch during the 12th over, after which he left the field.

Furthermore, Pakistan gave the target of 138 runs and Jos Buttler led the team-chased the target at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Ben Stokes played a match-winning game in which Stokes made 52 runs from 49 balls.
