According to Dawn, four terrorists were killed and three others were injured during a Pakistani military operation in the tribal districts of Bajaur and Khyber.

The first operation was carried out in the Inayat Kalli area of the Bajaur district due to the presence of a terrorist named Shafiullah. The accused was wanted for many target killings, suicide attacks, and bomb blasts, with a 2 million Pakistani Rupee (PKR) reward.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intense exchange of fire occurred in the Mamond region of the district between security personnel and militants, and weapons and ammunition were retrieved from their custody.

“The terrorists were involved in activities against security forces as well as in the killing of innocent citizens,” Dawn quoted the statement.

In another incident, one terrorist was killed and three others were injured following an exchange of fire with security personnel in Tirah Valley, Khyber region. According to an ISPR statement, the terrorist was killed during an operation, following a heavy exchange of fire between security personnel and militants.

“Sanitization of the area is being carried out in order to eliminate other militants,” Dawn quoted the statement.

Earlier on June 19, four police officers and two soldiers from Pakistan’s security services were injured in separate attacks by unidentified armed persons in Pakistan’s Khyber district’s Bara tehsil on Sunday.

Two Pakistani Army soldiers were killed on June 4 after an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region of Bannu, according to ARY News, citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). In another instance, two soldiers were killed in a gun battle with militants on June 1 in Pakistan’s Singwan, the country’s bordering region with Iran.
