New Delhi: As cinema houses across the country remain shut due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Bollywood is in no mood to hold its horses. Looking at the release calendar, one thing is sure- audiences are in for a treat. You ask how? After years of witnessing film clashes on the big screen, the OTT space is all set to witness its first filmy clash with Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase and Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi releasing on July 31. On Monday, Kunal Kemmu announced that his upcoming film Lootcase will release on Disney + Hotstar on July 31. He wrote on Twitter, “I’m so happy and excited to share this with you guys! I’ve been waiting for this day. We are bringing Lootcase directly to the safety and comfort of your home. So you and I have a movie date on 31st of July. See you.”

Along with Kunal Kemmu, Lootcase also stars Gajraj Rao, Vijay Raaz, Rasika Duggal and Ranvir Shorey in prominent roles. Lootcase will be the second Bollywood film to release on Disney + Hostar as part of its ‘First Day First Show’ series after Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara. Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi, on the other hand, will premiere on Amazon Prime on July 31. Inspired by the life of Indian writer and mental calculator Shakuntala Devi, who was also known as human computer, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra in a prominent role.
