Youth empowerment and entrepreneurship Mahotsav set to kick off today

In a bid to foster youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, the Department of Skill Development and Industrial Training is all set to host a three-day “State Level Youth Mahotsav” from December 28 to 30, 2023. The event will take place at the prestigious Indradhanush Auditorium and PWD Auditorium Hall, Sector 1, Panchkula.
The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for December 28th, will be graced by the esteemed presence of Technical Education Minister Moolchand Sharma. The closing ceremony, on the other hand, will witness the participation of Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta.

This youth-centric festival aims to provide a platform for talented youth at the state level, motivating them towards nation-building. Approximately 800 youths are expected to participate in various events spanning the three days.
The State Level Youth Mahotsav will feature a diverse array of activities tailored for individuals aged 15-29, including folk dance, folk songs, photography, story writing, poster making, and extemporaneous speaking. Notably, the theme for this year, “Millet Production through Science for Science and Society,” has been assigned to Haryana by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (Government of India). Participants from all districts are invited to showcase their culinary talents in preparing millet-based food products.

For the benefit of internet users, the festival will be live-streamed on popular social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook.
A highlight of the event is the much-anticipated performance by the Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra Band, known as “Harmony of the Pines,” who will regale the audience with patriotic songs. Adding to the cultural richness, the festival will also feature a Haryanvi Dress Show, providing a glimpse into the traditional attire and heritage of Haryana.

This State Level Youth Mahotsav promises to be a celebration of talent, culture, and entrepreneurship, fostering a spirit of innovation and pride among the youth of Haryana.
