A 42-year-old woman is facing charges in Navi Mumbai for an alleged real estate scam that duped six homebuyers out of a staggering sum of Rs 1.87 crore. Presenting herself as a representative of a prominent real estate developer, the accused assured these victims of housing in Jasai, Navi Mumbai, and collected payments from them since January 2023. When the promised properties failed to materialize, frantic attempts to reach the fraudster went unanswered. Subsequently, the victims discovered that the imposter had vanished from Jasai.
