Chhole Bhature is a beloved Indian dish enjoyed with great enthusiasm, but recent incidents of food contamination have raised serious food safety concerns. The latest viral incident involves a customer who found a dead lizard in her Chhole Bhature, turning her meal into a nightmare.
The viral video begins with a shocking image of a Bhatura containing a dead lizard. The customer had taken the packed Chhole Bhature home, and upon discovering the lizard, she returned to confront the food stall owner. In the video, she is seen angrily shouting and warning other customers not to eat from the stall.
She recorded the confrontation, during which the owner admitted his mistake. The customer also asked about the stall’s locations. The owner explained that his stall, Rajkamal Chhole Bhature, operates in different places in Delhi: Bazar Sector 15 on Mondays, Jahangirpuri on Tuesdays, Avantika on Wednesdays, Sector 13 on Thursdays, Sector 16 on Fridays, and Sector 7 on Saturdays, with Sundays off.
The viral footage was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’ with the caption, “Kalesh over a Customer found De@d Lizard in chole bhature while Eating in Delhi.”

One user remarked, “Nowadays Street food & Hygiene are poles apart. Avoid eating out as much as possible.”
Another commented, “This may be true or fake. Regardless, maintaining hygiene and standards in food preparation and serving is non-negotiable!”
“No hygiene, no safety, only playing with common man’s health and sentiments,” asserted another person.
