Vijayawada ACB court extends Chandrababu Naidu’s remand till November 1

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s remand in the alleged multi-million dollar skill development scam case was extended by the Vijayawada ACB court on Thursday until November 1. The Rajahmundry Central Prison was used to virtually present Chandrababu Naidu before the court. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) detained the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of the TDP on September 9 in connection with the multi-million dollar skill development scam case, sparking political unrest in the state. Several TDP leaders claimed that the arrest was nothing more than a political “witch-hunt” and that Naidu was detained on the basis of untrue accusations.
