Vehicular movement restored on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway

After a two-day closure due to adverse weather conditions, authorities have successfully restored vehicular movement on the crucial Srinagar-Jammu national highway. Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police have been working tirelessly to clear stranded vehicles on the highway and have issued a cautionary advisory for commuters.

As of 1500 hrs, the Jammu Srinagar National Highway has been partially reopened, with efforts underway to clear the backlog of stranded vehicles. Commuters are urged to exercise caution while driving, especially on the stretch near Sherbibi, where the road is reduced to a single lane. Additionally, several areas along the route remain slippery, posing potential hazards.

The J&K Traffic Police emphasized the importance of adhering to safety measures and driving with extra care to ensure a smooth and secure journey.
